I am meeting all private practice clients exclusively online.
I take a resource-oriented, empowerment-based approach to community arts, using creativity as a way to build connection and personal growth. In my workshops, I blend different artistic mediums to create a generative, supportive space where participants can express themselves freely. It’s about the process, not just the outcome. Through collaboration and careful consultation, I help people build resilience, confidence, and a sense of belonging—making art that’s both meaningful and empowering.
With over 15 years of experience as an arts facilitator and a background as a Montessori elementary school teacher, I bring a unique mix of skills to my work. I’m skilled at navigating challenging group dynamics and always focus on finding practical solutions. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with local and international arts organizations that use creativity as a force for positive change, and I draw on that experience to create meaningful, impactful experiences for every group I work with.
I offer dynamic workshops and presentations on mental health, equity-based work, and community arts, drawing on my own research and experiences. My master’s thesis, Empowerment Through Hip-Hop and Expressive Arts Therapy: Respect the Architect, is at the heart of much of my work, and I weave those insights into everything I do. Whether it’s diving into mental health topics or exploring the power of creative expression, my goal is always to spark meaningful conversations and inspire positive change.
I work closely with arts-based organizations and community members to create and deliver programs that truly reflect the needs and goals of the communities they serve. By collaborating with everyone involved, I ensure that each initiative is both relevant and impactful, using the arts to address specific challenges and inspire positive change.
The artistic modalities I use include:
Poetry, Visual Arts, Music, Movement, and Theatre.
Each form offers a unique way to explore creativity, connect with others, and express ideas—helping to bring out new perspectives and foster deeper understanding in every workshop.
